SUPERMARKET APPOINTMENTS
 
Our Foodbank operates like a supermarket, where you are able to choose your own food items. We ask that you have tried to get assistance from Work and Income before accessing our service.

​

Bookings for a shop are made through referrals from other social support organisations or directly with our team at Whare Āwhina.

Our team can assess your needs, assist with wraparound support and help you with your application to Work and Income for a food grant and ensure you are receiving the support you are entitled to.

Feel free to drop in to the Whare Āwhina Community Cafe at 93 Cameron Street and have a korero with our friendly team. It is open Monday to Saturday between 8.30am and 12.30pm and provides FREE kai. Hot drinks and morning snacks are available between 8.30am and 11am. Lunch is available between 11am and 12pm.
