ABOUT US

 

The Bay of Islands Districts Foodbank is a Charitable Organisation which has been operating for over 30 years.  It was originally created by Kaumatua-Kuia of the Ngati Manu Marae and all the churches in the Kawakawa- Moerewa area to serve the people in the wider Bay of Islands area which includes Paihia, Kerikeri, Mangamuke-Kaeo in the North to  Kaikohe-Hokianga area and Russell-Rawhiti area and even as far south as outlying Whangarei areas.

FOOD PARCELS

All orders for Food parcels are received through the Ministry of Social Development, Work & Income, The Bay of Islands Budgeting Trust, Schools, Health providers such as Doctors clinics, Public Health and Ngati Hine Health Trust, Maraes, Police Dept and Churches, and those requiring a parcel need to go through one of those organisations. 

 

Food parcel orders can be requested Monday-Friday during business hours.  Once the parcels are packed, they are then delivered to the organisation that ordered them and the recipient collects it from there.  Orders are not taken directly from those requiring the parcels.
