KAIROS KERIKERI

ABOUT US

Kairos Foodbank is operated from Kerikeri by the Kairos Connection Trust which is registered with the Charities Commission.  We have strong links with Kerikeri Baptist Church (who began this food bank many years ago) and the Northern Community Family Service (financial mentoring and whanau support).

FOOD PARCELS

You can request a food parcel through the Northern Community Family Service - please phone Christine on 09 407 7800 and food can be collected Monday - Friday 8.30 am – 12.30 pm. Our parcels include products that will work together to make healthy meals to see you through three days. Parcels picked up from here will include frozen food products also so if you have a chilly bag it would be a great to bring that with you. We deliver to individuals in exceptional circumstances only e.g. under Level 4 Covid-19.

We also supply dry goods parcels through referrals from MSD, the local branch of DHB (Mental Health), Whangaroa Health Services Trust in Kaeo, Kaikohe Plunket, local churches, schools, early childhood centres, midwives, and other support groups in the wider mid-north area.  We are passionate to reach all those who find themselves in a rough patch unexpectedly and to help ensure families are not going hungry.

DONATE

If you would like to contribute canned or packaged food items to our foodbank you may drop them off through the Northern Community Family Service, contact detail above. We can accept fresh food items that have a good shelf life only.

Please contact our Trustee, Erin Titmus, elt@xtra.co.nz  if you would like to partner with us in a more commercial way or if you have time to share and would like to become part of our enthusiastic team.

We welcome monetary gifts also – please use our Givealittle page as from there you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for payments.  Remember to reference your gift in the message box as being for foodbank.  Thank you!
